We are located in an historic house in the center of Okemos, Michigan. The Bookstore is nestled on a small rise of land among trees, flowers, shrubs, and a variety of herbs, on the corner of Hamilton and Okemos Roads in the heart of the original village grounds of Okemos, Michigan--first known as Hamilton, Michigan. This has been our home since we opened 17 years ago. We keep a be-ribboned May Pole on our front lawn, a few feet from our fire cauldron that we use for ceremonies--we celebrate all of the Sabbats as well as a number of additional Festivals to honor the sacred. If you visit us you may park in the lot behind the store, on the street in front of the store, or in the lot to the west of the store. We are next-door to the Travelers' Club Restaurant & Tuba Museum. All of our Festivals and ceremonies are free and everyone is welcome!

And, don't miss our Tea & Talk Book Selection: Dreamways of the Iroquois: Honoring the Secret Wishes of the Soul by Robert Moss.
In this beautifully written work, Mr. Moss explores the value of dreaming in restoring our connection with the soul. Dreams serve a healing and restorative function--they are a necessary ingredient in self-realization and wholeness. Whether for resolution, prediction, healing, warning or wisdom, these other-dimensional experiences are an essential part of our humanity--they bring light to our soul's path. Robert Moss tells us...
"We lost a part of our vital souls because of pain and abuse and trauma, because of grief and heartbreak, because we give up on our heart's desires, we agree to live inside a box others make for us, we won't take that leap of faith and trust ourselves to love, and to believe in the soul's purpose, and to hope that an answering power in the universe will provide. We may suffer soul-loss because of our life choices, as well as because of trauma. We make a certain choices--to be with one person rather than another, for example--and a part of us resists that choice, perhaps remaining "stuck" on a former partner."
"The Iroquois teaching is that if we have lost our dreams, we have lost part of our soul, the part of us that is the dreamer."
The ancient people believed that dreams are experiences of the soul. In dreams we may travel outside the body, across time and space, and into other dimensions--or receive visitations from ancestors or spiritual guides. Dreams reveal the wishes of the soul, calling us to move beyond our ego and the web of other people's projections into a deeper, more spirited life. They call us to remember our sacred contracts and reclaim the knowledge that belonged to us, on the levels of soul and spirit, before we entered our present life experience. In dreams we also discover where out vital soul energy may have gone missing--through pain or trauma or heartbreak--and how to get it back. --From the back cover of Dreamways of the Iroquois.
Dreamways of the Iroquois retails for $16.95.
